IT'S TIME TO PARTY. (see below:)
For the next week, I'll be cleaning like heck and finding out something cool to make for breakfast/brunch Christmas morning, because SANTA CLAUS
FROG SUMMONER IS COMING TO TOWN!!!! ^_____________^ So, yes, apologies to Nina's uncle, but I won't be able to exchange cleaning up after preschoolers for room and board. Maybe next time.
After another fun-filled day of running after children who won't listen to me I went to Nishinomiya central and went hog-wild on Christmas decorations...at a big-ass dollar store. Good times. I now have CUSHIONS to sit on. My bum will be so grateful. Now I just have to get off said bum and get to work decorating the place, which I've been putting off since, well, since I first thought of decorating my place.
Man this place is a mess.
Anyhoo, as I was musing to myself during my shopping spree, it suddenly occurred to me that I can't leave this country without something momentous, being 25 and on my own and actually feeling like my own person. Last week I was talking about piercings with my parents class, so I've been seriously considering getting another three holes - one more in each ear and maybe some sort of ear cuff outlet at the top of my left ear. I chose the left ear so I'll remember what side of my face my huge birthmark is (not that it's really important, it's just that I can never remember). Two seconds after a random middle-aged man greeted me on the street, suddenly it hit me -
M.A.B.
GET.
A.
TATTOO.
:)
Now, I'd consider getting one in Osaka, but I don't know who could help me. Sure as HECK no one from my school. There's Takeshi, but I don't know how well he'd do as a translator, because I'm already making a checklist of things to look for before pulling down my pants and hopping up on the table. So New Years vacation in Tokyo sounds like as good a time as any. Zee-chan, 助けてください! Do you know anyone in Tokyo with a really well-done bitching tattoo that can recommend a place? There are EXTRA pancakes in it for you. That's if you end up coming to Kansai with your sister. We can all party in my tiny apartment, rocking out on pancakes and bishounen dramas. We can party like it's 9.
I've also already decided on what I want and where I want it (sssssh!). =^_____^= Should I go through with this, I just hope I don't regret it. Is it true I'll be banned from onsens forever? I guess I can always cover it up with a band-aid. Yeah, it's going to be tiny. Yes, that tiny. What you gonna do about it. You ain't gonna do shee-it.
Anyhoo, that's my update - from next Sunday I'll be travelling, spending money on things I don't need, shopping for Christmas presents, sending letters and souvenirs home, packing, unpacking, cleaning, baking, chafing, knitting, spazzing, praying and up for anything. Anyone have any plans, let me in on them and we can meet up...somewhere. Still don't know where I want to count down 2007 with Liesl and my aunt (who seems pretty freakin' adventurous), so hit me up for that too. We'll be heading to Tokyo on December 28. I've already bought the shinkansen tickets (reserved, by some miracle) and it looks like I have a hotel booked as well - sadly, the capsule experience will have to wait - so all we need is shite to keep us occupied. Please, give me your ideas pertaining to fun shite.
Until then, 出発!!!
*witness as my horse takes off from under my bum*
Oh yeah, I almost forgot: it's
MEME TIME!
HOLIDAY MEME Instructions!
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
Here we go, yo.
1) I want a boyfriend. I'm not kidding myself anymore. I'm still pretty sure I'm asexual, but I still want to experience romantic feelings with someone before my ovaries turn to ash. I'll even settle for an acquaitance who likes hugging me and holding my hand every now and then. Oh yeah, and s/he lets me sit in his/her lap. I always feel happy doing that, it's like I'm four years old again. (You all knew I was a nerd before you read this, so don't bother poking fun at me.)
2) Guylian chocolates please.
3) Should I get this tattoo, I just hope I like it.
4) Cashback. *bats eyelids sweetly at Nina* XD Don't worry, I'm willing to wait.
5) To go to Humber and actually get a decent job out of it.
6) A cute language exchange partner.
7) To find a good church, if not here, then when I go back home. I really miss church. Especially now that it's Christmas.
8) To get off my duff and start dancing again.
9) A DS lite with my own custom colour so if anyone steals it I can nail them in seconds, and all the trimmings: carrying pouch with Kingdom Hearts stickers, recharging glow dock, matching stylus pen, Kuromi decal stickers on the inside, screen protector sheets, USB connector, "Kanji Dictionary: Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten," "Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories," the latest LoZ game whose title I can't remember, a game pouch, and a sleek silver briefcase to carry it all in. Said DS shall be named after its own colour: BUTTER.
10) For all my family and friends to be healthy and safe, to take care of each other and themselves (yes I've rearranged that on purpose), for all of us to not worry so much about the little things that bog us down during the day. I wish for everyone to have a moment this Christmas where they just sit back or look up at the sky and realize that they're all right just the way they are. We really are all lucky to have enough to eat, to have a warm safe place to sleep, and to be greeted with smiling loving faces. Merry Christmas everyone and God bless. ^__________^ (yes, all this from someone who listed "easily-obtainable-boyfriend" as number one on her list....TT! ^___^)
