Aww. *Patpat* I wish there was some other advice I could offer about quakes, but everybody reacts differently to them. Honestly though, the majority of them aren't large at all - just minor tremors that subside after a couple of minutes. And the fact that the majority of Japanese go on as if they're not happening should settle you a bit. It's when the natives start freaking out that you know something's not right. xD

With regard to the veg again - good lord, that woman's estimates are overpriced. O_O Well, not by much, but I didn't pay 428 for gyouza. I paid 219. It really depends on where you go and how frugal you can get. I can't remember how much a kilo is, but the best thing to do is go to the supermarket and weigh up your veggies to get an idea of how much food we're talking about. The one thing you must always do though, is shop for veggies and fruits in an actual supermarket! Don't ever go to a convenience store, where you'll be paying 500 yen for a fistful of grapes. Granted, they're the best tasting grapes you'll ever eat, but they're still a fistful of grapes. T_T You'll get more value for money at the real markets.

My phone... is no longer in production. It was a limited edition. I bought it from DoCoMo, which generally has good plans and very good keitai, though they won't be the cheapest you'll find. (Oh, and don't mistake a regular mobile phone for a PHS - they're two very different things in Japan!) The one added bonus of joining with DoCoMo is that you can play Before Crisis, that game revolving around the Turks. Lotsa fun.

Take the avatar. Nothing wins more than Barret in his sailor suit. xDDDD In my opinion he should have kept wearing it, right up to the battle with Sephiroth. Beaten by a man in a sailor suit. There is no end to Sephiroth's humiliation. Heh heh. >:D

If you want to know anything more, I'll do my best to answer, so chuck some q's at me whenever, wot?

DA
