So I'm doing some teaching over summer in the convenient month where I'm still paying tenancy on my house but don't have any university lessons (exams are all done in may for final year students, so its a free month whilst the rest of the uni finishes off).
After slogging it over to the 2nd campus which happens to be 2 miles away where all the teacher training is done, I got assigned my school.
It's 17 miles away from my house.
ITS NOT EVEN IN THE SAME COUNTY.
GOD DAMNIT UNI D< I SAID I DIDN'T HAVE A CAR!!111
Either way I'm quite excited, they pay me £600 to hang out with some kids for 3 weeks or so and called Miss Cheetham AND BE TREATED WITH THE RESPECT I DESERVE... (snort) I mentioned to my school contact, who just so happens to be the deputy head teacher, that whilst I've got my name down for physics, I'd be interested in all of the science department really. I also saw that they have a school trip to Marwell (local zoo/safari park) so fuck I hope I get to go on that so I can amaze with my "useless knowledge on animals nobody cares about" skill.
As for travel, I'm undecided. I think I might just bring my sweet mountain bike from home and take the train to the nearest train station to school then bike the last 2 miles, depends on the roads but that'll probably only take me 15 min cycling or so so thats nps.
EDIT:
Exam timetables have gone up on campus, why they dont put them onto the RISIS portal I don't know, but I'll pop down and check once I've finished off this little piece of work. Here's hoping its a nice collection of afternoon and spread out exams plz/
