So, point number one that I've explained to a number of people, eating pork won't get you swine flu, it's transmission is just like a regular flu - respiritory and air born. Scarily enough the World Health Organization put it up to stage 5 on the pandemic level scheme thingy last night, we can blame that on Spain, so that only gives us one more stage till technically a 'Global Pandemic' I dunno about other countries but from what I've read, in the UK at least the people we have ill here are doing pretty well on anti-virals (the Tamiflu thing people keep talking about but never actually explaining). But the WHO seems adamant that it'll make pandemic level fairly quickly, bleh.
Laura you probably don't have anything to worry about with regards to getting back into the UK because we're apparently fkn terrible at doing checks at airports that don't merely involve handing out leaflets. Hurray~!
I was gonna say something like 'I hope it stays away from the SW' but thinking about it I'm fairly sure there was a case yesterday in Devon. SIGH. I hope it's not like Foot & Mouth or Blue Tongue again, it's not like agriculture doesn't have it hard enough already these days. Though thinking about it anyway there's no real pig intensive areas around where I live at least, and since it's already human to human transission maybe they won't do any culling this time round.

Also, rich uncles birthday this sunday, I was convinced I was gonna have to leave early so I could get back here and have a good nights sleep but ahahahaha no >o now I can stay at his nice house eating delicious expensive food for longer.
