31/03/09 - KYOTO~!
Solo adventure to Kyoto! Slightly backdated, this was from back on tuesday ;o
Japanese buses intimidate me... (before I had time to do a quick look up on them on the phone) so I opted to use the subway and walk halfway across Kyoto to get to the Golden Pavillion D: np though, it worked out FINE IN THE END.

Daitokuji temple
Kinkakuji temple - Golden Pavilion. Very pretty! And the weather was lovely too. In retrospect I wish I'd bought a good luck charm whilst I was there, after learning that Kyoto actually has a super simple standard fare bus system I then proceeded to get on the wrong bus anyway. I was kinda annoyed a little cause at the Golden Pavillion the sakura was a few das away from opening so I thought I messed up my timing :/
After Kinkakuji I caught a bus and didn't quite end up where I wanted to be =_= so I walked back through the old Imperial Palace park.
Hurray, my timing wasn't off completely 8D Okay so maybe cherry blossom and such doesn't stir me as much as everyone else around since back home in my town blossom trees are alongside every main road :X but they were definitely rather pretty and there were so many people around taking photos and such, probably much more artistic then mine haw haw.
A little shrine tucked away in the park. I didn't take any photos from inside cause I was scared some shinto monk would appear out of the shadows and chase me away waving charms and shouting angry japanese I don't understand :<
