So after my elation at "fixing" my radiator for the grand total of less then 2 days it's borked again. Alas. Though actually it turns out all the upstairs radiators are a bit on the dodgy side so at the end of a small Upstairs-Corridor-Committee meeting and several phone calls later we managed to get our useless landlord to send a plumber out. Essentially it's all culminated into the fact that annoying housemate somehow managed to tell annoying landlord the heating was fine and so there's now no plumber coming around and my " some shits going to go down, hide in your room" sense are tingling :D This does "inter house relations" no help at all, oh well. I'm good to hide away in my room for most of today np.

Oh.
And.
If I want to do something interesting I have a 4 weeks to come up with a feasible third year project.
Urgh.

Maybe it's time to call in some favours with my old biology teacher now supervisor at my uni (by fluke, he's a lovely guy, first person that ever taught me biology and whatcha know now I love it, we go out for coffee and a chat whenever he's around Reading. He's a entomologist (insects) hrmmm and I'm more interested in herpetology (reptiles/amphibians), maybe I'll drop him an email and he could help me write up a project).

I really don't want to do anything out of the book, I want to do something new and interesting, it'd be all kinds of awesome to get a paper published on it (not an unrealistic thought, my ecology professor was telling me about a couple of his dissetation students who had their work written up as papers, how pwn would that be).

Odds are I end up using lj as a dumping ground for ideas, apologies in advance for all the life science mumbo jumbo that comes out of my posts :D

science r serious business, asshatery
