Halloween 08

Fun was had!

Half the people in the house gone home this weekend so it left me with the 2 other most fun housemates to have around. We were gonna go out to the pub dressed up but... well... it was cold. And... yeah.

So instead Alex and I baked a cake. Despite how NASTY AS HELL the mixture looks, this can entirely be blamed on me, who found green food colouring in the corner shop and insisted on using it on everything for the night. To be fair though, the cake actually cake out looking boringly brown. What a let down!

Note to self: Next time Alex (the psychotic looking one pictured above (not icing)) leaves the mix unattended on the worktop. MORE FOOD COLOURING 8D! I'm left with a lot of green food colouring still though, so I suspect this will not be the last time some random foodstuffs get turned crazy colours.

Alex and I also bought pumpkins. Here's one of them. Not very glamorously carved I know but stfu, we're pumpkin carving noobs and we had to make do with the one clean kitchen knife we had left >:!

We thought some chavs might nick him during the course of the night, but instead it seemed to be a good item to attract trick or treaters. Alas though, we had nothing to give said trick or treaters so we ended up giving them some of Beths treasured Marsh Mallow's that she uses in her hot chocolate. BUT NP. SHE WILL NEVER FIND OUT! :D

So, rather then going out in the end a mutual friend of the house - James - came round with a backpack o' booze and we hooked up my laptop to Liz's speakers and sub and we watched 30 Days of Night, Ghostbusters and... Superbad. I don't know why we watched the later, we just did. By which point we were pretty out of it anyway so maybe that was just an easily accessible DVD! Who knows! I played FFXI and went to dyna and then had a crazy alcohol and FFXI fueled dream. Fascinating.

Oh ya, and it snowed and it's been cold as fk, whats new!
/complain

yay!
