Quick Update . . .

May 27, 2006 22:15

I am officially moved, and currently reside in Prior Lake (an hour south of my former residence). I am living in my step-dad's gigantic house, with two devon rex cats and a lot of furniture that appears to have never been used. For those of you (most) who don't know, the guy I refer to as my "step-dad" is actually not related to me in any way as ( Read more... )

maybe there just old fashioned. My grandparents on my dad's side had separate beds until the day they died. I all ways remember that being weird, but I sure when I'm old that my grandkids will find stuff that I do as odd, if I have grandkids that is.
forgive the strangeness of this post I'm still a little drunk from a long night of drinking.

I think they're just weird. I mean, he's always been a materialistic person, and I don't think he really knows what it means to love people above possessions, but he *isn't* old fashioned. Not really. Sometimes I wonder why they even married. Even more often I wonder how my mother ever married him, and why. I love him, but they're incomprehensibly different.

Also, I was looking out at the lake today and saw people fishing on a boat. It made me imagine you and me and Brand, and whoever else wanted to go, out fishing somewhere. That's a good idea, I think. We should do it soon.

Hehehe. Well- a spinner is, as I'm sure you're aware, a common type of fishing lure, often used for bass or the like. DuPont, in case you didn't know, is a chemical corporation that makes industrial solvents, glues, and other such things ( ... )

Yes indeed! Now granted, a DuPont Spinner isn't exactly legal (it's essentially a pipe bomb) but it sure is fun to watch! In shallower water the fish'll fly right outta the lake, an' hit the surface again with a very satisfying "thwack!" It's somewhat dangerous, too. It's still not as mad as Danish Trout Fishing- which is to say, carrying a rifle and walking on a log over a stream and firing into the water, hehe! You're not aiming directly at the fish- the concussion from the bullet entering the water is enough to stun or kill nearby trout, an' then you just scoop 'em outta the stream with a net, heh heh!

Sounds like a plan. Remember: fish that've been blown clear outta the water just *taste better.*
