Hey Everyone!
It has only been recently (due to cancelled classes because of excessive amounts of snow which made me very happy) that I have come to realize that my classes this quarter are almost all abstract thinking classes, to one degree or another. Logic and Music Theory are the two big ones, Theory being the most amorphous. Today I had my first encounter with what I like to call an "Arbitrary Rule", that being a "Rule" that really is more like a guideline... a very loose guideline. It really weirded me out, actually, because all I could do was sit there going "Wow, that's nice, but it's really not that big of a deal." I guess there really isn't any way to really explain my knee-jerk reaction to being taught a rule that's inherently non-necessary, but it really bugged me.
Logic isn't so bad. It's a lot of semantics, really, just looking at things in a different way, which is something that I enjoy doing normally, so it's all good. Plus, my teacher's pretty cool, so that helps.
I also got finally got a Sperrit shirt! It's almost identical to the one my PO character wears, and since I look a lot like my character anyway (a strange coincidence, really) wearing the shirt is a strange experience in and of itself. Plus, it's just a cool shirt.
Hope Everything's going well, everyone!
