I have finally moved into my new home in Austin!
So, I am finally attempting to make a record of stuff that has happened in my own life, recently...

The Lipstick Pages Launch Party was spectacular!
here're the photos & here's the video footage:

Flipside was quite an adventure, this year! I helped DaFT & helped with Shaven Apes as much as I could from pre-event until Thursday afternoon when I started helping to raise Camp Atlantis from the underworld...

I will never forget seeing people sitting in the dome and meditating and gazing at the amazing tapestry - huge thanks to Janese for finding that unique artifact from the Ukraine!! It was truly unfortunate that she and Bart had such calamities befall them, and that they were unable to stay; but after wrecking the Audi & going through heat exhaustion, we understood why they left. Jennifer Ayers & everyone else seemed to be content with their own spaces; yet Chantell, Frank, Joe, & I wanted to stabilize the dome. So, with consultation from Kelly Sky, we were able to rise out of the underworld & steer our ship to a steady course for the rest of the weekend... we had great music & dancing until morning light Saturday & Sunday nights!

So, thanks again to everyone for your time, energy and effort to help make Camp Atlantis a collectively created experience! And if you happen to see Kelly Sky of Hipnautica around
town, give him a big hug for all of his help and advice (not to mention donating all of his rope, rebar, and other supplies) and then hanging out to play and jam all weekend. The rest of the musicians were awesome, too: Brian Dudley of Infidelic and Dr. Strangevibe brought their energy, equipment, and music to our space along with others that dropped in and jammed such as Nigel and Sean from Scarab Camp, as well as the belly dancers (Tinkerhell and Maria with her scimitar) and all the other awesome people dancing.

Other Flipizens who directly contributed stuff to help create our Camp Atlantis community space were Timeless the Sculptor - who thankfully donated rope for the cause; Photon of Bacon Bang Boom - who donated extra rebar for the dome; and Jonathan and Jo Jo of Get Lost - who donated rebar and their awesome consultation. There were many others in the Flipside community that lent support in their own way and it really was great to see how the Burner ethos of 'community' shines through.

And we reallty appreciate any & all of you who were able to participate in sharing our space, even for a moment.

On Monday, Chantell and I managed to pack everything that was left into her Toyota Carolla! We looked like a clown car when we were done, with Hoola Hoops over our heads as we drove home...

Back in the default world, Chantell and I actually ran into Deanna of Red Camp at the grocery store, and she gave us some rather fascinating insights into the construction & support of the Red Camp sister dome...

and here are a few photos of Camp Atlantis...

Whoa, what a trip!
