day before yesterday, i had to deal with _MORE_ & also different kinds of these kafka-esque bureauracratic nightmares; but during one of the many struggles with hierarchical snafus, i was at university federal credit union: i had started a checking account with them, and they had set up an overdraft line of credit for me; but they had 'forgotten to connect it to my account' ...oops! so, the check to acc for my tuition had been returned "insufficient funds." my credit union was very apologetic, and took responsibility for all of the returned check fees, and then i noticed this woman who was taking care of the plants there... i did a double-take, and realized that she was someone who had been like a surrogate mother to me, ten years ago, who had completely dropped out of the system... no one knew where to find her, and here, i had just encountered her in the most completely random place! sometimes, the universe has the damnedest ways of sharing serendipity...
