evolution through conflict
having just 'heard' the news of tim maroney's passing, i feel contemplative... but, more strongly:
i feel the need to go out and have a good healthy debate... in the spirit of socratic argumentation and the dialectic process in general!
i keep kicking myself for not contacting him through lj sooner, 'cause we had such well-spirited debates through the swl forum, probably a decade ago... he engaged in the kind of enlightened style of argumentation that i seek, but have found so rarely.
damn, we really gotta live each day as if it were our last, don't we tim?
