What a strange change around the lab today. Professors I've never met randomly come up and introduce themselves, and those whose classes I barely scraped a B out of are suddenly asking how my winter break was. I suppose word has gotten around that I've been 'tapped' for the new internship.
It's still a strange dissonance for me. In my current job I'm notable and respected, but feel miserable. In my new job I'm a zero-level schmuck, and feel very loved.
