Christmas vacation
I am off for the next 23 days. Yay!! As a good friend likes to say "Let the festivities begin!"
Today was the draw for the angel cross stitch that I was selling raffle tickets for. I ended up raising $200.00 over and above what it cost to have the piece mounted and framed. I have now raised 20% of my goal needed to participate in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. My Hubby helped sell tickets as did a couple of my co-workers. I am very blessed to have people helping me make this possible.
It is snowing again and it is quite windy. The roads were starting to get pretty slippery when I got off work at 2:00 pm. I am glad that we don't have any commitments tomorrow other than going to the post office. I want to enjoy a semi-relaxing day at home.
I called the Cross Cancer Institute today to find out if I could take vitamin e and/or evening primrose both of which were suggested by opakele to ease hot flashes. Unfortunately I was told that I shouldn't take either. I guess I will have to continue to muddle along with these stupid hot flashes. They generally seem less intense since I cut way back on coffee. I might have 3 cups in a week instead of the 2 a day that I used to enjoy. Tonight the hot flashes are bad though. *sigh* Maybe I should go outside in my pj's and make snow angels to cool off!
