OCTOBER

OCTOBER - Breast Cancer Awareness month. I don't think that a day goes by that I'm not aware. *sigh* It never goes away. Sometimes it's way in the background, but it's always there.

Yesterday I was out all day with a friend. We went to several scapbooking stores and I spent much more than I should have but it was fun. I have lots of ideas...now I just have to make more time.

Today I played domestic goddess. (cooler weather has that effect on me) I made Belgian Waffles for breakfast. Then I mixed up dough to make sticky buns. I decided to make a pot roast for supper and I made a double batch of baked macaroni and cheese so that Hubby would have it to take to work this week. The last of the sticky buns just came out of the oven. They have to rise twice...they are an all day project.

They decision to make a pot roast for supper turned out to be a good one. A friend and her family, who were in the area visiting family stopped in to say "Hello" on their way home. I invited them to stay for supper and they did. She brought me flowers (she often does) and we had a great visit. I miss her. Maybe some time I can drive up north and visit her for a weekend.

Well, I still have few things to do before bed, so I should get a move on.

baking, breast cancer, friends
