I'm back

My mom and sister have gone home. I think it was a wonderful visit. Sadly my mom didn't actually get to hold her newest great-grandchild. Little Lily was a bit fussy the day of our family get together, but we did manage to get some 4 generation pictures. I haven't uploaded them yet as I've been busy with laundry and getting Hubby ready to go back to work.
After they left Hubby built the target back-board (back stop)so I could practice archery. I had some trouble restringing my bow as the video I watched used a different type of stringer than I got, but with further research I found detailed instructions with pictures and finally managed to restring my bow and begin target practice. The first attempt didn't go all that well. I didn't hit the target once and missed the back-board (back stop) most of the time as well. It took Hubby and I about a half and hour to find 4 arrows. So, we stopped at Cabela's the next time we went to the city and I bought a quiver, 6 more arrows and LED nocks that light up once the arrow is fired. It makes locating them in the brush much easier. Today when I went out to practice I actually hit the target several times and hit dead center once!
Pictorial evidence:

Not great form, and not quite at full draw in the picture.

Center mass!! Woohoo!!!

I will probably be quite sore tomorrow as I fired 48 arrows today, but I'm having lots of fun so it's all good.

I guess I should be going. I have to feed the dogs and come up with something to have for dinner.
