(This post has lots of "cuts" due to excessive "pictureness") I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Hubby and I have gone back to our old queen size bed because our dog Teddy seemed to have developed an aversion to his kennel. Our bedroom furniture is an antique set which has a double head and foot board so we bought a metal queen size headboard that we thought would go with our antique set. It arrived on Saturday and Hubby installed it so our bedroom with it's new fresher look is complete. When we first moved here this is what our bedroom looked like:
The bed didn't stay in front of the window past the first year as I found it too cold. After my knee surgery in 2011 I wanted a fresher look so this is verson 2:
This is what it looks like now with the queen size headboard and bed and the new bedding:
and a bit closer:
I guess I get the urge to change things up because for so many years while Hubby was in the military we moved every few years and things changed out of necessity. I've been pinning on Pinterest for a while and saw some interesting window ideas for our kitchen window. I've been working at bring more colour into our kitchen which was mainly white and green. These were my favorite ones:
I had some things on the window ledge but not really enough to create the look I was going for so our oldest daughter and I went to a local consignment store and picked out some suitable chotchkies along with some kitchen canisters that would add colour to the kitchen. Last week I ordered two glass shelves and last weekend Hubby put up the shelves in our kitchen window. This is the finished look:
If you look through the window you can see the snow on top of our BBQ. It was dry and clear on Wednesday last week and now look at it.
Ok, I'm out of time. I really need to get busy around the house. I have cards to make, a dog to walk, etc, etc.
