Well, I didn't end up riding the lawn tractor to cut the grass. The blades are pretty beat up and we haven't been able to get replacements yet. Hopefully I'll have at least one set before Hubby gets home on Thursday. So, most of the yard area still has foot high grass but Hubby did mow the area where the dogs do their "business" so at least I'll be able to find the "treasures" and be able to clean up after them.
Hubby loaded up the love seat that was abandoned not far from out home and took it to the dump. He also went up on the roof and sealed around the vent stack that was leaking and put caulking around the bathroom window that was also leaking. Hopefully things will stay dry the next time it rains.
I've just about finished the junior bridesmaid dress for our granddaughter. (our youngest daughter
kailiia is getting married in September) I had our granddaughter try it on this weekend to check the length. I will hem it in the next day or so. Tomorrow evening I hope to cut out the flower girl's dress. I have to wait until the pets are downstairs for the night, just in case I drop pins. The dogs would probably try and eat any fabric or paper scraps that might fall to the floor.
Tomorrow I have to go for blood work first thing in the morning. (nothing out of the ordinary, just part of my annual medical) In the afternoon I have a bone density test. Chemo did a number on my bones and Letrozole can further weaken them. I've been on 4000 iu of vitamin D and Didrocal for the last couple of years so hopefully everything will be okay. I'll be calling my dentist's office again. My jaw is still bothering me, three weeks after getting two teeth filled. The teeth that were filled are a little sensitive (upper jaw), but my lower jaw continues to ache, and sometimes the pain radiates to my ear. At this point I can't tell if my bite is off, no matter how I close my mouth it feels wrong.
Wednesday, Hubby and I will have been married 34 years. He won't be home until Thursday, so perhaps we will celebrate next weekend. Our oldest daughter was born on our 4th anniversary, so we will be going to Red Lobster for dinner. Originally, when we planned to go out for dinner her husband was supposed to be away. As it turns out, he is home but doesn't care for seafood so he will stay home with their children.
I have yet another physiotherapist. My first one is on maternity leave and the woman that took over for her was a temp. I now have a male physiotherapist. He has quite a sense of humor and I like him. I hope that I'll finish the prescribed 6 months of physio before I am turned over to someone else.
I guess that's it. We accomplished some things this weekend, but the "to do" list is still pretty long. The best laid plans.... Oh well.
