This has been a tough week, it seemed to go on forever. Thursday I went shopping with a friend. I didn't buy much, just a tea set from an antique mall. It was actually a pretty good day until I got home. Hubby's tax return settled by CRA. (Canada Revenue Agency) We though he was going to be getting a sizable tax return. Nope, no refund at all, in fact we owe money. Quite a lot. *sigh* I was counting on the tax refund we thought we were getting to pay for my tummy tuck and top up our donation levels for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. We both have to raise $2000.00 and I'm only about 1/3 of the way to my goal. There is still about 4 months until the walk but I'm starting to get a bit concerned. Today I reworked our budget and we will be able to set aside the money for my tummy tuck but I'm not sure where the money will come from if we have to top up our fund raising. Maybe I'll win the lottery.
I got my tax refund today, as much as we thought it would be. Part of it will be seed money for the start up of my Stampin' Up business.
I'm going to the Reconnections Conference tomorrow. Once a year, women who have gone through the Healing Connections program get together for a day of laughter, tears, and fun. There will be a continental breakfast, seminars, lunch with a fashion show, workshops and then a wine and cheese reception to end the day. Earlier I wasn't all that keen to go. I'm not in the best of moods what with the news about the spot on my liver and then the whole no tax refund thing, but I've decided to go. Hopefully it will be fun. I could use some fun.
