waves thunder
on silent sand
the storm rages
you take my hand
as we talk
the wind subsides
all we're left
is an evening sky
you hold me close
as we kiss goodbye
the stars they shine
as bright as fire
but as the tears
slip down my face
the stars they
turn to a falling rain
when morning comes
i wake alone
my eyes are sore
my hair unkempt
after everything is said and done
i sit and wonder if you were "the one"

and i am yours
i am the earth
you are sun
i am the moon
you are the stars
i am water
you are fire
i am serenity
and you are passion
together we are peace
apart we are war
we are all these
and combined
we are you and i
romeo&juliet
their eyes aflame with
the passion of lovers
their skin glows with a
forbidden love
deep gazes and stolen
soft caresses
long kisses and sweet lyrics
fill their nights
secret meetings filled
with lust fill their days
two smoldering fires
yearning to be one
a union destined never to
occur
with poison and daggers
they met their fateful end
heavy with the death bell's
sad tolling
their familie's grieving hearts
begin to mend
born into hatred and fear
of being caught
these two beings proved
that love can conquer all.
