Look! A real entry, just like I said. I don't think it's going to be very long but that's okay.
Injections did not happen today. Boo. I was very excited about getting my RNA constructs into flies but it didn't work out. Things were just too crazy and the flies decided to pick today of all days not to lay eggs. Hmph. Stupid fruit flies! That's alright though, we'll do them on Wednesday so it's not so bad.
The rest of my day was really great. First off I handed in my final paper in one of my classes so now I'm completely done with it. Then the lab manager and I were talking today and it turns out that she writes fantasy novels! She's part of this writing group that meets twice a month and she invited me to come along to the next one. I'm very excited and I think I'm going to check it out. And then one of the guys I work with told me I looked super hot today. LOL. I don't buy it in the least, especially since today was a grungy day but you can never hear that enough.
Oh and then I had Chipotle for dinner. Yum. Plus I'm actually starting to feel healthy again.
