so i got my tattoo the other day... thursday actually.
went to Cold Steel on Haight in the citay by the bay... my artist was a woman named Tex. I went in to see my drawing and i LOVED it!!! It wasn't exactly what I had had in mind, but it was absolutely beautiful... so I told her i was ready and right then and there she got to work. First she made me buy some food and get some cash to pay... (p.s.... how ultimately uncomfortable was i when i had to take out $400 cash from the gold atm at Frankie's liquors with a bunch of homeless people standing around).... anywho... so i went back and she did the transfer... lalala... and then she started... and OHHHH OHHHH OHHHHH did it hurt... mostly around my shoulderblades... spine was a BIZNATCH... the WORST was the back of my neck, right on the top of the spine... fuck.. it was real painful. It took 3 1/2 hours... and that was just the outline!... with NO breaks!!! she just wanted to get it all done straight through i guess.. all i kno is that by the 3rd hour... my whole body was shaking.. and i was kinda about to pass out... the pain had become SO intense i really couldn't handle much more... but i persisted becuase i wanted the outline finished... finally she was done... and it looks AMAZING!!! I am absolutely in love with my tattoo... it's a japanese cherry blossom tree on the whole top half of my back.. some of the branches go over the back of my shoulder and down my arms a little bit. Right now it's just the outline.. but i'm going to have it fully filled in color as soon as i can.
