17 --- For Akaneia (Redux) ♦ Chick Consequences - [Video/Narrative]
[Marth is, by no means, an ill swordsman. In fact, he's quite good at it. His father has had him training since he was very young, in spite of the idea that Marth is much more a peaceful soul than he is to be stirred to take up arms.
For the entirety of the chicken invasion, Marth has done his very best to defend himself without harming the fowl. The problem is that while he may be full of such good intent, the chickens are not and could care less (most likely) about their obstacles in... whatever it is they intend to accomplish.
The Falchion whips back and forth, an attempt to fend off the talons of the chicken. In some cultures, people would eat those, but it seems soup or fried chicken feet are two of the very last things on his mind. In his movements, strafes back, strafes forward, barrel rolls to the left and the right, the perspective from the camera is less than still (and consequentially, probably a headache to view).]
It would seem that even my sword will no longer hold them at bay. Is there anything at all that we can do? A miss suggested that those remaining evacuate. I am beginning to like this plan more and more. Although I have never been fond of leaving the battlefield in surrender.
[But even a good emperor knows when it's time to give up the good fight and run. Back to his feet, his left hand swings up to take hold of his cape, an attempt to protect his face and he breaks into a sprint. The camera angle jerks about (as it must be attached to his garb in some fashion) and in moments, the ending is all too clear. There's a stumble in his steps, the video feed tumbles over the grass, and there's the shadow of what seems to be a few mutated chickens. And left in their wake, is a steadily stoning Marth, sword in hand and everything.
At least he'll make a gallant statue.]
