Yes, another week has gone by. The good news? I have an interview. The bad news? It's just... one interview. And it's next week, so now everything's been pushed to the side so I can prep. Whatever. Anyway, here's a cow I met when going Christmas-tree hunting.

It seems kind of appalling to me that Dean *still* has not grasped the unintended consequences of his decisions thing. Given that his entire life AND EVEN BEFORE HE WAS BORN his life has been entirely shaped by the unintended consequences of otherwise well intentioned behavior. And he was just telling Samuel that you can't go making deals like that because you don't know how it will all go wrong. Like starting The Apocalypse.

That he had to have this lesson again is just... gah.

Balthazar was great. I do hope he's around for the second half. But I don't want him to quite be Crowley. I mean, it didn't seem like he was a bad guy so much as an unpredictable one. I enjoyed the fact that all Sam had to do was present him with an interesting case and he was willing to listen.

Mark Sheppard kind of plays the same guy all the time. But the great thing is that it's totally an enjoyable guy. So it's sort of tough to miss him, because he's on half the shows on TV being British Snarky Jerk.

Sam's comment about Dean not wanting to help him but wanting to help Sammy in Hell reminded me a lot of the Doctor Who Family of Blood/Human Nature story, where the human him didn't want to die just to become the "real" him.

I love that Bobby has a trap door in his house. Probably more than one. It should totally have led to a metal cage, though.
