Fresh start, new look, and the basics, or: "It's worse than the leopard skin!"

So I've decided to challenge myself and my apathetic ways by seeing if I can handle operating a Doctor Who news blog.

I want to see how sharp I am journalistically, I want to see how well I can scoop Doctor Who news, and I want to see how well I can write.

So! Over the next few days I'll be starting to gather the usual sources for Whovian rumours and leaks (UK-based, obviously) so that I can get current-ish news breaks. I don't want to rely on sources such as the Gallifrey News Base for my information. Granted, I'll be a little late thanks to timezones and such, but timeliness is not my major priority. My major priority is the content itself - gathering information and reporting the news on my own.

I will keep this blog as up-to-date as being in Australia will allow, but don't expect me to be being cited by anyone anytime soon. If anything, the stuff I post here will only be read by my Whovian friends from back home who already get their Doctor Who news from me anyway.

The first order of business, however, is to get the basics out of the way.

1. Favourite Doctor: 5th.
2. Favourite Companion: Miss Donna Noble.
3. Favourite NuWho Story: Blink.
4. Favourite Classic-Era Story: The Five Doctors.
5. Favourite Enemy: I don't want to say the Daleks, but I'm afraid I have to.

So, other than that, look forward to amateur reporting and fanboy gushing over the content of said reporting.
