Vanishing Act
Okay, so this day hasn't been the best for a number of reasons... But this just gets downright crazy!
Anyways, after work, I was all packed up and ready to go - just waiting for my sister's call to say that she was close by before I go downstairs. The lab where I work is actually on my local university campus. By the door, we have a coat stand where most of us hang up our jackets. So after I got her call, I was going to get ready...
Except my jacket was gone!!
Like what the heck?! >_> My scarf was still there, but my jacket was missing!
I totally don't get it. It's so mind boggling. I'm not upset since it wasn't a nice jacket or anything like that. It was only a $30 jacket I got online. But the point is that it's a jacket... A jacket! Why would anyone steal a jacket?!!
Like of all the stupidest things to steal... A jacket is only useful to someone who fits it! I'm not exactly the largest person out there. I doubt many people would fit it... So why take it? And why not take the nicer one?!!
One of the guys (grad students) who I share the lab with, his jacket was hanging there too and his was those nicer pea-coat style jackets. Mine was a cheap spring-ish jacket with fake fur trim. Was it the fur trim? Was it the size? Because apparently another jacket has disappeared from our lab and the guy who it belonged to isn't that much bigger than me. Maybe taller than me by a couple inches?
But seriously!!! A jacket of all things!! Ahaha~
I'm just super thankful that I didn't have anything special in there!! Cuz sometimes, I leave my keys in the pocket... And that would have been disastrous!!
*sigh* I'm just so confused... What is this world becoming?!
