Definitely need a computer to tackle this one! I have the tendency to be verbose XD
1. Who is your favorite band/bands and artist/artists?
EXILE, Versailles, SID, nero (and cleanero because he's in it... lol~), BIGBANG, Da-Ice (they're kind of new), Tohoshinki (DBSK/TVXQ), Valshe
I also like listening to OSTs ^_^
2. What do you love about DTB?
I love the action-suspense of the series, as well as the mystery. I also love how all the characters were their own "person". Their personalities were portrayed well, from those with a 2-minute scene to our lovely masked hero. Everything had purpose. It always had me just wanting more.
Who is your favorite character and why?
Maybe a little unexpected, but July... haha! Because I'm a cute addict. I just love him to pieces. And yes, someday I will write that story for him! Someday! (I'm seriously not lying. I have a story idea for him as the main character!)
What inspired you to start writing fanfics?
For me it was the ending of season 1. I instantly bonded with the idea of Hei-Misaki as I watched the series and I was really disappointed that there wasn't more. After writing my first fic for the series, it all "went downhill from there" XD
Who's your favorite DTB fanfic writer and why?
Because I don't read a lot of fanfic (for obvious reasons), I have to say Brianne. Her stories are well thought out and she weaves all the elements I enjoy into it.
3. Are you afraid to tell to your real life friends that you're writing?
Well, my newer friends, I haven't said anything. But some of my older friends knew about it. I met my first online friend that way! Mostly through a forum, but I shared my stories there. They even read my work (this was back when I was writing original stories). My family knows as well since they see me frantically scribbling away as I sit on my bed.
What's writing for you - a hobby or you feeo it as a big part of yourself?
Funny that this question came up. I even had a post idea about this theme. Writing is basically my life. I've been writing for the last 11 years. If you think I'm good at writing, maybe that's a reason why? I've dedicated that many years to the craft :P
I started with original stories. Back then, I was really into anime - shoujo magical types to be exact. For some reason, I had the grand idea of writing my own "anime". My best friend at the time was really into art, so she drew sketches of characters. We also had the idea to "anime" ourselves. We created "Japanese" names for ourselves. (That's where my other screenname of Mikare came from.) That first encounter would be comparable to Revenge on the Rake in terms of chapter lengths and number of chapters. (Short chapters, but I think exactly 55 as well!)
I dabbled into fanfiction briefly back then, like one story, but didn't feel inclined to keep at it. It just didn't capture me and there were tonnes of original story ideas to work on. All through university, I would sit in a cubicle by myself during my breaks and scribble down ideas - anything from stories to short stories to poetry. I tried it all.
For a bit of statistics -
Stories (novel length), I've finished 7 and have 17 started (at various stages of completion; from aaalmost done to barely started).
Short stories, I've written 7. One of which I "converted" into a fanfic for Furuba.
Fanfics, I have no idea... Go look at my profile? I think it's 30+ last time I checked.
Poetry, maybe half a dozen? I would have to look it up.
Along with all that writing, I've kept a blog for equally long. Sooo... Yes, I'm a writing nut!
4. Were you popular at high - school?
Nope, can't say that I was. I had my own group of friends and that was good enough for me.
5. Do you like romantic love stories?
Yes! My favourite genre~
What would you like to read in a book?
Typically needs to have an element of romance in it, but not always. Majority of my reading was romance novels (historical or supernatural), but I also like fantasy and suspense-thrillers. Not a whole lot of the latter two, but I've read a few that I liked.
6. If you ever meet your favorite writer, for example you see him on the street, what would you do?
Uhm... I probably wouldn't recognize them. Lol~
7. Do you have siblings?
Sure do! One older sister :)
8. Are you happy you joined the DTB community? If yes, why?
Definitely! Because I got to meet all you lovely people and share my passion with you guys too. We can totally geek out together!
9. What's your favorite meal?
I don't eat a lot, so it usually depends on my mood. I guess something that I would never turn down is Japanese food - either noodles or sushi. Love it!
Do you have a pet?
Nope. I'm enough to raise/take care of... XD
10. Name your favorite DTB stories and authors. :)
Would it be rude if I said "myself"? Lol~ Not going to lie. I've read my own stories plenty of times over, not for editing purposes. I can't help it when I have that many :P
For other authors, the only 3 would be Haruko, Saka and Bri... Like I said above, I don't read a whole lot. I know Khalia's an awesome writer, but she never finished the one story of hers I was reading :(
For specific stories, the ones that come to mind are Bri's Midnight in Matsuyama (is that right?), Saka's Swapped Bodies (is that right?), the cosplay one and "biggest pervert" one (ack! I don't remember the titles), and Haruko's Host Club.
Seriously though. Saka has some awesomely hilarious ones! I love his humour. I might not remember the story title, but I definitely remember various scenes from them~
