Happy New Year!
Well, it's quite late into the evening for day 1 of 2013, but whatever... First update of the year! XD
So today, we had to skedaddle out of the house since people wanted to check it out. Had dim sum with the family and then my dad went home to sleep while the rest of us went out shopping. I don't know about you guys, but I am SO not a crowds person. The previous two years, we ventured out during Boxing Day and bought nothing.
This year I refused to go out, but my sister and mom braved the malls... Smart thinking on my part! ha! Apparently the mall they chose to go to was a complete zoo. On the radio the next day (I had to work.) they were saying that it took 45 minutes just to get near the place. Then 30 minutes to find parking. Inside was equally mad.
They were lucky and found a spot right away, and my mom found boots - which was what she wanted. They ventured into Tommy Hilfiger since my sister was thinking of buying some cheap sweaters... HAHA! The lineup was sooo crazy that they were estimating 2 hours just to pay!!
And I was safely at home, tucked under the covers reading my book ^__^
Since we were close by to the same mall after lunch and had time to kill, we went there again. The deals are still going on with today being the last day. What better way to start off the year with a mini shopping spree... Lol~
I ended up getting 3 sweaters and a cardigan. The sweaters my sister wanted were even cheaper today! Apparently it was $25 on Boxing Day. Today it was $20 and we even got an extra discount (for what I didn't catch). Only turned out to be $17. Since they were originally only $20, I picked up two myself. I definitely need to ransack my closet and get rid of stuff I no longer wear.
Ugh, unfortunately I couldn't find what I really wanted - a new coat and skirts. There was one place I saw prior to Boxing Day which had a jacket I liked, but it was like $200! But when we went back today, they were all gone (the style I liked) and all the other ones left (with 50% off!) had none in my size. Sucky... Though, just means it wasn't meant to be.
As for skirt shopping (and any lower body clothes shopping in general >__<;; ), I couldn't find any that fit. The waist fits, but a lot of them are wider around the hips since women supposedly have hips. NOT THIS WOMAN! I'm shaped like a boy... haha! They all had the same cutting, so yeah... No luck there. I guess I'm stuck shopping girls' clothes for that :P
And for other news... The "Psycho for Psycho-Pass" news. (Ha! I really like that Haruko. It's awesome~)
I started working on the cross-over since I finished the next chapter of A Demon's Demand. Yay me! I got the first chapter finished and it's epic long... o__O;; Like 5000-ish words. haha~ I'm not going to start posting, but maybe I'll try to alternate between the two. And maybe throw in a third story if I feel really ambitious... Or maybe just work on those two primarily and work on whatever side story I'm motivated to do? Who knows XD
Annnd... I read Saka's latest chapter of Generation New! Woot~ Go me! "Awesomesauce!" as Bri would say. The storyline is amaaazing, even if I have so many nit-picky comments/corrections to add... hehe~ But all to make it that much better ^__^
But yeah... Baaack to work tomorrow. Bleh. Work towards vacay as we all do... hehe~
