Here are five new (mostly scifi) shows coming this fall/winter that I am going to check out.

Blindspot: NBC Sept 21 - Starring Jamie Alexander (aka Lady Sif) as an amnesiac who has a bunch of mysterious tattoos on her body that are connected to crimes. This is the one I'm most iffy about. In part because it doesn't appear to be scifi and I have very little time left for cop shows. But I love Jamie, so. [trailer]

DC's Legends of Tomorrow: CW 2016 - Rip Hunter aka Rory from DW is a time traveller (LOL) who assembles a team of powered people for whatever. Look I'm here for Sara Lance (White Canary) and Kendra Saunders (Hawkgirl). Well, and a little for the Prison Break bros because they have nice chemistry & in this one they're not brothers so maybe there will be more fic. And well, Victor Garber is a nice cherry on top. I'm not wildly optimistic about this one, but I'm giving it a try. [trailer]

The Expanse: SYFY Dec 14 - Shohreh Aghdashloo!! I love her so much. Her voice is like pure gold and her presence is magnificent. I love her. Also it's a scifi thing set 200 years in the future when humans have colonized the solar system. There are books that it's based on, and I'm really hoping hard that this one is good because near future space exploration is a joy of mine. But really Shohreh Aghdashloo. I'm so in love with her everything. [trailer] (after I watched this trailer I saw one on the side, also Syfy, called Childhood's End. I won't be watching that one. The book it's based on is by Arthur C Clarke and when I read it, well technically when I read it there was still a cold war going on and the way the book ends worked for me. But I don't have any desire to watch it played out on screen.)

Minority Report: FOX Sep 21 - Set 10 years after the movie, and no Tom Cruise in sight. Follows one of the precogs who keeps trying to stop crimes even now, but he can't see enough to manage it on his own so he teams up with Detective Lara Vega (Meagan Good) to try to stop murders. It's on Fox so I am going in expecting them to ruin it like they do every other good scifi show, but you know...maybe this time will be different? (I know, I know) [trailer]

Supergirl: CBS Oct 26 - I mean, obviously I'm going to watch this. Even if it's on CBS, there's a chance it could be awesome. I am not keen on Cat Grant's faux feminism, but whatever, the rest looks AMAZING. Female superhero with a strong sister bond. That's good times. And no more brooding hero nonsense. God that shit gets old. I'm actually most hopeful about this one being able to live up to my desires. And I'm pretty sure I'm already in love with this Jimmy...no, James Olsen. :D [trailer]

How about you, do you have any shows you're looking forward to?
