Surprise wedding shower and July 1st
I had an AMAZING weekend in Greensboro with Patrick's family. We celebrated the 4th of July a bit early and they turned it into a surprise wedding shower! Patrick's cousin is the flower girl and she was so excited to show off her new dress and help with the ribbons and the presents and be part of everything. One of Patrick's second cousins did an amazing job on the cake. And the whippets had a great time playing with his aunt's spaniels and their giant tennis ball! We have tons of pictures:
Me and the cake that Kristen made. Each bit of color was done with a star point on a pastry bag of frosting. She has two toddlers and she said that it took 5 hours to do with all the interruptions.

Something about Rose in this picture reminds me of Liza Minnelli and it cracks me up: She's all skinny and wearing a tiny overdone little hat and looks a little overexcited and worn out, like she just finished a big tap dance routine.
Believe it or not, but around the condo neighborhood, people compliment me on how quiet the dogs are!
And Scarlett sees another guest arriving, a tiny black mixed breed named Tux.
