Slowly, haltingly, she began to speak. "You...shall...not...have...the...jewel.......It...is...MINE!" With those words, the emerald flames coalesced in front of her, forming a gigantic energy ball. As Lia watched in horror, her desire for the moment plunged underneath the base instinct of self-preservation, Cassanwise screamed and propelled the blast towards her. Summoning all her strength, Lia tried to dodge to one side, and the blast of green fire merely singed her side. Lia bit down a scream as the overwhelming pain from the ethereal flames nearly caused her to black out. Deep within her mind, the slow, unerring pulse changed from a blue to red...The One Kimchi is mine! How dare she try and steal it from me! IT IS MINE! A red haze settled over Lia's mind, and a voice seemed to repeat over and over again in her mind, KILL THE THIEF! KILL THE THIEF! KILL THE THIEF! Lia drew her enchanted dagger, Gnits, and sprang upon Cassanwise with such fury that she was knocked out of the air. Pinning her to the ground, Lia lifted her blade and slashed down...
