the best albums of 2010
so, it's the end of 2010. and i wanted to give you what i thought were the best albums of 2010 with the best songs off these albums.
11. Harmony-Never Shout Never
i'm a huge fan of never shout never and while this album was good, i personally felt that he had better albums before he "made it." my favorite songs from this album are: trampoline, piggybank, cheatercheaterbestfriendeater, and first dance.
a runner up song: "sell out"
10. Teenage Dream-Katy Perry
after california gurls was released, i was ready to give up on katy perry. but i did listen to the album fully after firework came out. and it's amazing. if she had released a different song as the first single, i would have been jamming to this way before last week.
favorite songs: peacock, firework, e.t. and circle the drain.
runner up song: last friday night
9. Black & White-The Maine
this album is a general feel good pop rock album with sexual innuendos around every turn. i personally love john oh's voice and that's why they've stayed one of my favorite bands. it's a really simple listen, i got through the first half of the album without really noticing i did.
favorite songs: inside of you and listen to your heart
runner up: right girl
8. Habits-Neon Trees
neon trees is a band that broke out over the summer with animals, and for a good reason. this 8 track album is really catchy, but they definitely used their strong songs for their first singles.
favorite songs: animal and 1983
runner up: love and affection
7. Doo-Wops and Hooligans-Bruno Mars
when just the way you are came out, i kind of hated the song because it was overplayed. then i heard grenade and decided to get the cd. i was blown away. this is a definite keeper and very catchy.
favorite songs: grenade, marry you, and count on me.
runner up-runaway baby
6. Bang!-Empires
Bang! was first released as digital packs, then the full length. i've been really into empires since their first album howl because of their sound and the band in general, so this was not a disappointment.
favorites: damn things over, i know you know and bang
runner up-strangers
5. I'm Alive, i'm Dreaming-The Ready Set
the first full album release from the ready set really set the bar high for later releases. we all should have know this band for make an appearance because jordan is my homestate bb. but that doesn't automatically mean he's on the list. i found the album's more electronic sound a good change from the normal pop punk sound.
favorites: spinnin', love like woah, and limits
runner up-stays four the same
4. Beneath It All-Hey Monday

this ep was first an album that was cut into an ep. though disappointed, i listened anyway and the songs are good and catchy.
favorites: wondergirl, hangover, wish you were you, and mr. pushover
runner up-i don't wanna dance
3. The Bigger Lights-The Bigger Lights
i love this cd. topher's voice is amazing, the songs are incredible, and it's just overall catchy.
favorites: say what they'll say, so crazy, hey summer and always
runner up-that kind of girl
2. oh, boy. here we go!-Jersey Moriarty
feel good pop that puts you in a good mood. :)

you should have seen it coming. my chem has changed up their sound again with yet another theme and it's just epic.
