I'll admit, I have been and could probably still be considered a slave to the whole social-networking thing. I still have a livejournal, and though they've since been deleted I couldn't possibly begin to count the number of hours Ive wasted on MySpace and Facebook. I understand their appeal, I get why people have them, and I acknowledge that they have some sort of function in the modern world...
...but I have to say, the concept of "Twittering" is beyond me.
Actually, I understand the concept of Twitter, and I understand its functionality as a by-product of the new wave of internet communication that gave rise to MySpace and Facebook, but what really bothers me is why someone who already has a Facebook would need Twitter? From what I understand (which admittedly probably isn't that much) all Twitter is sounds like constantly updating a Facebook status and subscribing to other people who like to constantly update their Facebook statuses.
I really dont know why I just wrote all that. The same thing happened with the transition from LiveJournal to MySpace and then again from MySpace to Facebook.
Shouldn't one site be enough?
