Sora lies on his back, arms crossed behind his head as he stares up at the sky. His eyes grow heavier and heavier with each passing moment, slowly...until the sound of the wind and the general soundtrack of nature envelopes him, surrounding him, blurring his other senses

Remember this house, Sora? You should - it's the one you lived in all your life. Your mom is there, even more cheerful than usual. There's an extra amount of food on the table for lunch, but you haven't been allowed to touch one bit of it.
Maybe there's company coming! No, no, of course there is - there's a loud knock at the door.
Who could it possibly be?

"Who's that?" he asks, following his mother's movements with his eyes as she gets to the door.
"Company," she replies cheerfully. "And hopefully a new friend for you, Sora!"
He makes a face. "New friend? I have plenty of friends." He's one of the most popular kids in his class! Still, he's curious.
Sora's mum pulls the door open.

He peers out from behind the material, casting a scrutinizing look at this new kid. Whoever he is, Riku's s'pposed to be nice to him - but he's got weird hair! He's probably one of those 'punks' that his grandpa's always muttering about. Maybe that red truck was -dangerous-!
He's probably expected to say something. But he's just fine -right where he is-.

But, anyway!
Sora gets to his feet, dragging the red truck along the floor behind him, watching Riku with a curious expression on his face.
"Hey new kid," Sora says cheerfully.
Reply
He knew himself. He didn't know this other guy. Therefore his logic won!
Reply
Clutching his truck towards him, he gives Riku a long look. "Are you dumb?"
Reply
That... defense might sound lame to anyone else, but to him, it was -valid-. After all, his mom was the -smartest and best in the world-, so she would know!
Reply
He is totally staring Riku down right now.
Reply
It's not a contest. But he still feels this needs stating.

No one should come into his house -- especially someone he doesn't even know! -- and start telling him that his house is bigger!
He actually wants to tell his mum about this, about how rude this new kid is being, but he wants to take care of this situation himself. Like a big boy does.
So he raises his truck up and simply chucks it at Riku as hard as he can.
"You're a dummy!" he shouts.
Reply
But that quickly passes.
"HE HIT ME," he proclaims instead, pointing an accusatory finger at Sora.
Reply
Sora just stands there, mouth agape in shock. So not only is this new kid dumb, but he's a tattletale, too? Okay, he is so not good enough to be Sora's friend.
He crosses his arms, sulking. "You suck," he mutters, eyes narrowed at Riku.
Reply
"I wanna go now, Mom," he informs his mother, and walks towards her.
Reply
No. This is too much!
Despite being taught to behave when guests are around, Sora runs at Riku, ready to pounce on the other boy. "That's mine!" he yells. "Give it back!"
Reply
Or rather, he tries to hold onto it. Before he can even realize what's happened, his mom's pried it out of his hands, and given it to Sora's mom. "You know that's not the proper way to take care of things," she informs him.
Riku frowns.
Reply
"You know better than to behave like this," she scolds her son.
Sora struggles to get loose from her grip, but eventually he stops. "I wanna go to my room," he grumbles instead, crossing his arms.
His mother lets out another sigh. "Maybe you should." She lets go of him and gives him his truck. Sora wraps his arms around it, hugging the toy to his chest.
