There's a fic meme floating around on my flist started by donutsweeper and mad_jaks which I wasn't going to succumb to, but having read what other people are making of it, it looks like too much fun!

Give me a title and I shall write a snippet for it in several different fandoms of my choosing. Using song titles and snippets of lyrics is perfectly acceptable as

Highlander/Forever Knight

“This is the place.” Amanda turned to grin at Methos as she pushed through the doors, only for it to turn into a frown as she realised he wasn’t following, but staring at the sign above the doors. “I like the name, so sue me. Now come *on* Methos, we’re letting the daylight in.” She pouted until he lowered his eyes and shrugged.

“I hope you know what you’ve got yourself into this time, Amanda.”

“Of course I do. I happen to be on good terms with the owner. Very good terms.”

Highlander/Discworld

When Methos decided to take a break in the park near the museum, he hadn’t expected to bump into a very large and very white horse attempting to eat the roses in his favourite out of the way spot. He patted the horse, who then attempted to eat his hair instead. Methos chuckled and leant his cheek against the strong and proud neck, breathing in the once familiar scent of horse as if it was the most precious perfume on earth. For some reason it didn’t strike him as odd that there was a horse in the middle of a London park trying to eat the roses, and him, which should have rung alarm bells. He felt only the vaguest air of disquiet, and even that disappeared when there was a faint creak behind him.

“Lovely horse,” Methos commented. “What’s his name?”

“BINKY.”

Amanda going to the Raven -- is she expecting to get out with all her blood still inside her? Or does she just love another way to flirt with danger?

As for the HL/Discworld cross, just tell me that DEATH is not there for Death!

Amanda and Janette have an 'understanding' that goes back a long time. Methos doesn't know about it, LaCroix doesn't approve and Amanda doesn't care as she's always rather liked living dangerously.

And as for DEATH, Binky has been feeling under the weather and took a wrong turn, latching onto another Death by mistake. I'm sure eating Methos' hair will make him feel a lot better!

Amanda is such a dear and her and methos get into such great scrapes together!
and discworld, meeting the horse of death a former horseman is very poetic

Methos can't believe that Amanda is still alive at times, which is why he kind of looks out for her in this.

I also love Death meets DEATH fics, but don't think I could manage a full one myself. And Binky is adorable.
