okay, somehow I missed you posting part one *pouts* but now I've read one and two together so now it's okay. I love how Jack's voice is all husky with emotion or over or underuse. And I just love the last paragraph

Glad you managed to find it. The last paragraph was a funny thing; it didn't want to be written in detail like the rest of the chapter, but that's probably the Whiskey talking. Knappogue Castle 1951 actually exists, and costs a ridiculous amount of money...

which means Jack and Siannon would definitely enjoy it then...

I'm sure they would...

And here's your proof of existence. It now costs about £1000 per bottle!

oh wow that's pricey

I'm sure it would have been relatively cheaper in 1987 when it was bottled though. And don't forget, an old immortal is going to have a lot of resources that your normal sort of person won't have...

Plus, in terms of this AU, it seemed just the sort of thing that Siannon would do. Good Whiskey being Good Whiskey no matter what the monetary price of it happens to be; to an immortal, friends are priceless.

oh, it's totally IC for her and Jack for that matter. Just boggling a bit at the cost for myself though

I'd rather have a car for that sort of money... us mere mortals would never be able to even contemplate spending that much on something that's basically going to end up in the sewers. *g*

well also- just *how* much better could it be than something that cost half that or a quarter that 250 pounds a bottle must still taste amazing.

I love the smell of scotch whisky and can tell a good single malt by the smell. I used to be able to tell the area it came from too (Highland/Speyside/Island/whatever). I don't actually like the taste though, and I've now lost my whisky nose due to lack of practice. Wondering if Irish Whiskey has the same sorts of differences depending on area of production.

I know what you mean about liking smell but not taste. I know nothing about whisky though
