I'm still rewatching the show (I'm sure I would have mentioned it) and I love sitting up on a Saturday night watching the episodes again. Weirdly I know I could find my tapes and watch ahead but I'm happy with three episodes a week. Seven's just started and as much as I miss Kes (more so now, oddly!) I'm really enjoying Seven's evolution. I'm also finding myself much more able to enjoy Janeway this time around. It was never that I didn't like her, I loved her, but I feel different about her. Like I could write her - I always had trouble writing her back in the day, I'm not really sure why, I don't think it's all that I wrote so much slash.
I still adore Tom, Chakotay and Harry as much as ever, and B'Elanna and Tuvok as well, and all the minor characters. I'm finding it strangely amusing that we were all so convinced Ayala was hispanic back in the day, and his actor is actually Turkish.
I don't really have a prompt, just felt like waffling, but if you were ever up for doing anything with Tom and Harry (and B'Elanna maybe?) you know I'd adore that.
Also I'm seeing that Tom/B'Elanna wasn't as bad - to me - as fandom used to say it was. It's not the best relationship on TV ever, but I like it more than I did. Maybe it's knowing it's going to happen?
Though I still don't think I'll ever understand Chakotay/Seven. Even if they didn't want to make Janeway/Chakotay canon (and I can see for and against the idea) that seems so pulled out of thin air.
Oh, waffle away. :) It's good to waffle about Voyager sometimes, it never received the love it deserved IMO (except from us mad people). Funnily enough, although I have dvds of both Highlander and Voyager, I always find myself watching reruns (it was the Highlander ep Till Death last night), there's just something about watching it 'live' on telly that makes a difference.
It will be Ayala in the prompt - I didn't notice that, my brain provided me with the right spelling. Everyone assumed Ayala was Hispanic probably because the name is a) a town in Spain, b) of Basque origin and c) a pretty damn common name in South America (I remember there being a few Ayalas playing in the Paraguay and Argentina football teams at the time). Mind you, Kim is a Korean name and Harry didn't always get the same treatment (I know he did off some people).
My head canon will always have Tom, Harry and B'Elanna together (IMO they both *need* Harry to keep them sane and Harry just loves them both) though I do like Harry/Tuvok and Harry/Ayala (who I always think of as Gregor Ayala btw). I was a staunch J/Cer initially so I could never get my head round Chakotay/Seven either - if I'm going to pair her with anyone I prefer to see her with either Janeway, or Janeway *and* Chakotay.
I've written Voyager for consci_fan_mo before, One Step Beyond in 2008, but it has been a while.

But anyway.
