Oh, I love all these. I vote for one of the traditional waistcoats, but that's just because I'm a history nerd. I'm behind whatever ya'll want. Because GAH. The things it's doing to my head!
Hmm, I think with the mesh undertop you'd need to go either with the corset or the open front non-traditional waistcoat. While the traditional ones and the closed front non-trad ones are lovely (I do love the trad ones, pretty Victorian goth boys, mmmm) I don't think they'd work as well with the mesh top, you need to see the skin showing through the mesh, or it loses its point. I also don't think the trad ones would work so well the the pants, too much mixing of goth styles, as the trad waistcoats are much more Victorian thank the rest of it. :)
For the non-trad ones I completely agree, lets the lovely, pale skin be seen so much better. :)
Hadn't thought about Mycroft, but you're very right, the trad ones do all look as if they wouldn't be out of place on Mycroft. Eeep!
Oh, and I just have to say again how much I love the boots. I was pondering it for a while before I saw you'd put these up and getting a bit stuck cos I didn't think Sherlock would go for the chunky new rocks and I couldn't find anything else that was quite right. I'd forgotten new rock do the less chunky styles as well. :)
