27 - Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
To answer the second part of the question first... both. The rest needs more waffling so look behind the cut
It's difficult to say what is my favourite place to write as although *everything* is done on the computer before it is let loose on the public that is often not where it was first envisaged. Much of what I regard as my best work actually first came to life as I put pen to paper - literally - while on the train to work. The train journey is actually 2 journeys of about 15 minutes with a 15 minute wait between trains in the middle and that 30-45 minutes can be very productive. I basically put in my headphones, switch on the music, get out my notebook and shut out the world beyond the one being outlined by pen and paper. I'm sometimes surprised by what I write on the journey but writing m/m/m smut while sitting near to someone who reminds me of Ianto has to be amongst the weirdest fic related things I've done.
When I'm writing a fic on the computer and it stalls, sometimes all it needs is a train journey or two to kick start it again.
I sometimes run into problems typing my handwritten stuff up as I can't always read my writing as the faster I write, the more illegible my writing and sometimes I have to really scrawl to keep up with the muses.
I suppose that means I have 2 favourite places to write - on the train by hand in my notebook and at home on the computer.
