17 - Titles - Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
It varies. About 50% of my titles come from song/album titles or lyrics and will at least have some relevance to the fic from my pov. If I try to think of titles on my own I usually suck big time though I've managed a few I'm not too displeased about relatively recently that aren't intentionally song titles - though there are songs with those titles in my music collection now you come to mention it - my 2 Merlin fics Illumination and Shadowplay. Oh and also Crash and Burn. Every other title apart from those in the last year has been inspired by music one way or another.
I don't as a general rule title chapters, but I did use a line of lyrics (from a different song than thank I used for the title) at the start of certain sections of Shattered in Aspect but for that fic, using those songs, it worked.
