A nice little break
Today I took Abigail to her 6 month appointment and Bill and Benjamin weren't dressed, so I got to take her by myself. Bill had expressed interest in going, but I'm glad I ended up going by myself. (It's just easier with less people in the room and without Benjamin).
Abigail did well. She screamed a bit after the doctor started using the stethoscope on her. But she was just getting tired because she hadn't had her nap yet. She did grin and let the doctor hold her a little bit.
Anyway.....She weighs 15lb 4oz now (just below 50th percentile). She weighed 13lbs 14oz at her weight check 3 weeks after her 4 month appointment. So she's gaining quite well now.
She is 27" long. She's a long skinny thing. She's in the 90th percentile for her height.
The pediatrician said and I quote...."She's perfect." Haha.
Anyway...then I went to Best Buy and returned a present for Benjamin. He got a Cars drawing board thing with pictures of how to draw them. But we had already gotten him that, so I returned it and got a Stuart Little DVD instead. =)
Then I went to eclecticmama's house for a bit. I don't think I've ever seen anyone so uncomfortable. =( Poor Jen. At least she only has 9 more days before her scheduled c-section. And don't worry girls...she's sitting quite a lot. I don't think I've EVER seen her sit down as much as I've seen her sit in the last month (or two). Oh and Jen I left those cookies on your kitchen counter I think. I moved them so that you wouldn't have spazzo Spencer instead of the hyper Spencer you already had...*wink*
I also stole Jen's Moby Wrap. I ordered one, but it probably won't be here for about a week and she's not using hers at the moment. It is SOOOO much more secure than the ring sling. Right now Abigail is at an in between stage where she's always trying to bail out of the sling. When she's sitting up a bit more and will actually stay on my hip then she'll go back to it. The Moby Wrap is cool though because when she gets a little bigger she can go on my back. And Jen showed me how to do it. She didn't like it much back there yet, but when she's a bit bigger it will be awesome. It's super comfortable and I have way more range of motion with her on.
