Rant about the week...
On Monday I went out to run some errands. I needed to mail something off and go to the bank and get gas in the car. So then while I'm on my way there the van overheats. I made it to the gas station, but no further. I called Bill and waited for the van to cool off. He told me what to do to get it home and if I couldn't get it home to get it towed and he was sorry that I was stuck. As I was putting antifreeze in it the man who owned the gas station came out to check on me and help. He saw that there was a belt laying on the ground under the van. So I told Bill that when he called me back to check on me. He told me just to get it towed. Then I got my old boss to come save me and take me home. I had called her to get the number for a place close to tow me and she offered to take me and the kids home since she was close. So we chatted a while. It was nice. I never had any issues with her besides the fact that I didn't get paid very much. I have talked to her several times since then and I did take the kids over there a couple weeks ago to say hi.
So that was Monday. Tuesday was busying running errands that didn't get done on Monday. It was just a problem with the belt and since it was a serpentine belt it affected lots of things. So the van should be a-okay now. While I was out running around I decided I should go to the chiropractor. So I did that and I was definitely overdue. It hurt SOOOO bad when he was working on me. I do feel a bit better now though. I was finally able to get a handle on the kitchen while Benjamin played outside while Bill was putting up stone on the house and Abigail was napping. But then I had to bathe him because he had dirt in his hair and everywhere because he had been given a bucket and trowel to stay out of daddy's hair...HAHA. So on Tuesday Benjamin got two baths (one in the morning because he had peed his bed and one in the afternoon for all the dirt) and I had to wash his hair twice and drain the water because he was that dirty.
Tuesday night I was up with Abigail. She hasn't been sleeping through the night very well lately. Oh well. It's not a huge deal. It's not like she stays awake forever and ever like Benjamin would, but I'm still tired.
Wednesday, she's been eating and sleeping a lot. Growth spurt I guess....no wonder I'm starving even though I've been eating all day it seems. She slept for almost 3 straight hours in the morning. I kept going in and checking on her to make sure she was still breathing. She NEVER sleeps that long at once unless it's at night. Then she woke up and ate for a while and then went back to sleep for an hour. I did get her a bath though. Then I got her settled back down and was going to play on the internet for a while, but of course my internet went down....again. Bah. So I had to call eloewien to find the phone number for the internet company, because they were just bought and I haven't gotten a bill form the new company yet. They of course can't get anyone out until Friday 8-12. KThanx.
Then I finally get all that squared away and go to wash my hands to start making dinner and.....we have no water. So I call them and they are aware and someone is already on their way. 3 hours later still no water...so much for catching up on laundry..... So Bill got Bojangles for dinner, because there wasn't much I could make without water. Benjamin ate 2 hot dogs because that's what he begs for lately and it's all he wants to eat.
So we wake up in the morning and still no water. I call for a progress report and they say it could be all day. So I pack up the kids and head over to Laura's house until she goes to work. I got Benjamin a bath over there. Then as I was coming back I called for a progress report and they said it should be back on by the time I got back. It was and Benjamin fell asleep on the way home and then I transfered him over to his bed. The rest of yesterday was fairly uneventful.
So the tech came out today and said it was the modem. It figures. The modem was really old (5+ years)..., so I bought a new one from the guy because I knew that it would be more of a hassle to go find one myself and put it in. So my next internet bill is going to be massive. Yippee.
My house is freakin mess. Lots of laundry MUST be done today. *yawn* I wanna go back to bed.
