Break
So Thanksgiving break was pretty good, here's what happened:
Saturday: Went to the UConn vs Buffalo football game with N-Word and his lady friends from H-town. We only stayed for the first half, but UConn was already up at that point and we didn't miss too much anyways. I was supposed to go to Buckland with them afterwards but on my way there I got lost in Glastonbury of all places and just said to hell with it. After that I more or less wasted the night and then came home.
Sunday: Went to Gessay's house with Therrien to play some Halo 2. We ended up going to Strat's place along with Jim to play, it was a good time. Therrien's a good man for leading me through the fog on the way home lol.
Tuesday: Went bowling with everyone from school, it was a good time. Only got one game in though since there was like sixteen of us.
Wednesday: Went to lunch at the Plaza with Coach, Richie, Jut, and Eian. Good food and good times there, we definitely need to do that again sometime soon. That night Joanna and I saw the new Bridget Jones movie. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be, it was even kind of funny at parts. The girl a couple rowns down from us made the night though lol.
Thursday: Woke up at ten and watched UConn hold on to beat Rutgers and clinch a bowl bid. I'm looking forward to watching them play in a big game for once. After the game it was time for dinner, which was good as always. It was just my family and I this year, but that was fine with me. After dinner I just hung out and waited for Adam to get to my house from Vermont. When he did we watched some poker on TV, spilled some peanuts on my floor, etc. Around eight we went over to Steve's house to play poker with Steve, his Dad, and Leslie. It was a pretty interesting game, and I ended up winning.
Friday: Adam and I woke up early and went to McDonald's before N-Word and Gorilla got to my house for the poker tournament at Tony's. We left as soon as they got there, and we started playing soon after we arrived. Long story short: Adam came in last, Steve came in 12th, Gorilla came in ninth, I came in eighth, and N-Word came in seventh. It was an overall disappointing day of poker for all of us, but we'll have a chance to redeem ourselves over Christmas break. When we were done with that we went to Jim's house for his party. I played halftime, which is a pretty sweet game that everyone at LSC will be playing soon. After the party we all went to the Gold Club which was alright. It was more expensive than I thought, but that's okay I suppose.
Saturday: We woke up around noon and Adam left for home shortly therafter. I showered up and Mom made myself and the Jims lunch while we watched Celebrity Deathmatch. Around 3:30-4 we were on our way to Canada for the night. It was a long and eventful night, but this is what is basically came down to: shitty Canadian beer, "dancing" at the Living Room, surprises at the strip club, relazing that our hotel room was the scene of a murder, sleeping with Gorilla Jim, etc.
Sunday: We woke up at eleven, got dressed, checked out, and made our way down to LSC. When we got there we started watching the Boy Meets World marathon on ABC Family, which was more or less the highlight of the day.
So that's more or less how Thanksgiving break went. Overall it was alright, and I definitely wish it had never ended. I'll be home again this coming weekend too, so if anyone wants to hang out call or IM me.
