So I guess I’m just meant to only update this thing after a doctor’s visit, but oh well. I had my normal monthly appointment this past Tuesday and all went well. I was able to go ahead and get my flu shot so hopefully I can avoid that this year. The kid has been very active and once again made it hard to get a heartbeat because he/she kept moving all over the place. It took 2 nurses trying and eventually one had to push him/her down into one place to get the reading! The kid already has an attitude and it makes me laugh and feel really good that he/she is so active all the time. Also we are going back to the doctor on December 11th for another checkup and to hopefully find out if we are having a boy or a girl. Also Sara will get to go to this appointment with us so she will be the first to know besides us whether or not she will have a baby brother or sister. Then in January we are going to have a 3D ultra sound done in January! Will, Sara and I are all very excited. Right now it seems like its split. About half of our friends and family think it’s a girl and the other half think it’s a boy. So far I think it’s a boy due to in my dreams its always a boy, but as Will said, so far my dreams have been wrong!
One more thing regarding the pregnancy. I just want to state something. Do not try and touch my belly unless I offer it to you! I had one of Will’s relatives at a funeral try and touch me and I stepped back and pushed her hand down and tried to politely tell her I don’t appreciate people touching me. Its not that I mind people commenting on the expanding belly, I just don’t like being touched. So for any of you who might feel inclined to try and touch the belly over the next 4 and a half months, please do not. If you want to feel the baby kick or punches just ask and I will show you where to put your hand, but please do not try and touch me without asking. It’s nothing personal; I just don’t want people touching me without me giving them permission.
Other than that things have just been busy with work. I am getting ready to go back to Savannah right after Thanksgiving and then again right before Christmas. I guess I am going to get all my travel in before the middle of January when I have to stop traveling. I am still working about 50 hours a week but I kind of enjoy the hectic life.
Oh and now people at work and at home are taking bets on how long I’ll be on maternity leave. I get 12 weeks and I am going to try and take it, but most of my family and co-workers seem to think that I’ll only be out 6 or 8 weeks due to the concern that I’ll go stir crazy trying to be a stay at home mom.
Also we have started a wish list of the things we want to get for the baby. Now we just can’t wait to see what we are having! Anyway, sorry this is mostly about baby, but that has been the big news lately.
