The Bugzooka

My wife is a true-blue Buddhist. She firmly believes in following the teachings as fully as possible. She does not like to kill any living creatures, including insects like spiders, ants, etc. Me, I always thought insects were mindless robots that just ate, screwed, and ate more. but when you try to squash one, you will notice they like to run away. They have as much need to keep living as we humans do (I'm going to disregard the terrorist sects, because they love to die for their cause).

So one day we went to the hardware store to get some traps for ants, which are invading the house now. All they had were the kind with sticky paper inside where the poor little bastards get stuck and writhe around while they await the final solution. She asked if they had the kind of traps where she could release the bugs outdoors later on. They didn't.

Then enter the BugZooka, an extremely cool device that cocks like a shotgun (sort of), Then she creeps up on an unsuspecting ant and pushes a red button which sucks the little bugger into a holding tank of sorts in the end of the "Gun." The holding area is a clear plastic, and the insects are pulled in by a small vacuum created by cocking the handle. No batteries or electrons are killed in the process. Neither are the insects. Which calmly roam around until they are taken outdoors and released. This thing is really cool, and fun to operate, and I can feel like I'm controlling the insect population.

The end of the unit unscrews so the bugs can be freed outdoors. You need to be speedy because once the insects catch wind that you are trying to catch them, the scurry away and hide under anything lying around. Get it!! Have fun with it!! You'll feel better about yourself too.
