Unfortunately, I'm not pregnant yet. We tried the first round of chlomid a couple weeks before the 4th of July and it didn't take. So this morning we had an appointment to have the swimmers checked, and we'll find out the results on Friday. I'll be able to call my OBGYN office and speak with a nurse, so we won't have to go in. I just pray we don't have any major fertility issues. At church Sunday, Dawn and I were talking about how easy it seems to be for all these teens and people that don't necessarily want children to have them, and that nice Christian couples are having trouble conceiving. Its sad and it just doesn't seem right. I'm nervous about the results now, and so is my husband.
On Thursday, I have an appointment to get my wisdom teeth taken out, so I'll only have a half day of work, and then I'll be off on Friday because I won't be able to work the next day. I hope I can go without getting put out, the doctor has me scheduled to be just numbed. But my husband is coming with me in case I have to be gassed. LOL
We've scheduled our honeymoon in August (the third week) in Chicago. It's going to be a lot of fun. We're going to a Cubs vs. Reds game on the 21st in the afternoon, and we're getting city passes to go to Shedd Aquarium, Sears Tower, Adler Planetarium, and the museum of Science and Industry. We're staying at
www.allegrochicago.com, and it looks so nice and modern. My husband grew up in the Peoria area, and he's never actually been to Chicago. Crazy, isn't it? I'm sure he'll have a great time. I'm looking forward to the shopping!
We got a Nintendo Wii about a month ago, and it's so much fun. We have three Wii remotes and two nunchucks. The game it came with, Wii Sports, it so cool. It has baseball, bowling, tennis, boxing, and golf. My Mii character is a Pro at bowling, and we're both almost Pros in the tennis. We have another game called Wii Play, and it has like 8 different games to play. Yeah, we don't watch TV much anymore. That will change when our shows come back on this fall, though. Y'know, ouse, The Office, ER, Law & Order SVU... ;-) We can't quit them.
We saw The Dark Knight Saturday, and it was AWESOME! We're probably going to go see it again this week sometime. I mean, it was great. It lives up to it's hype, IMHO. There are scenes in the movie where you honestly can't tell that Heath Ledger is the Joker, and it's his best work. Christian Bale is the next best Batman, and he's super yummy. I kind of can't make my mind up whether Michael Keaton or Christian Bale is a better Batman, but I would have to say for the times, Bale is better as this Series came out. If you haven't seen The Dark Knight yet, I would urge you to go!
In connection with going to Chicago next month, we bought a new digital camera - Canon Powershot. So we need to teach ourselves all about it before we go. Work is work, and I was happier there the first time around. I've been sending out resumes and have had a few prospects, but nothing has panned out yet. I am having business cards made so that I can start my part time pet sitting service, which will be evenings and weekends. Hopefully it will grow in time, and I may be able to venture into it full time. That would be especially great after we have children, and I could make my own schedule.
I don't think I have anything else at this point. I've run out of things to say? No way! :-)
