I am sure some people who watch my journal for the squirrel photos wonder about my cat. If you have any question at all about the relationship between long time foes in the animal world, Squirrel vs. Cat, please see the following photos.
See what Kippy does.......
She lays down but still looks a little suspicious, no?
Uh-oh, she is now eyeballing the squirrel. What will she do?
And here it is, she makes a said attempt to bypass her fat to lick her bum. It is an impossible feat for poor old kippy (to lick her own bum that is), and this fat, I think, is also the reason why she doesn't bother taking a shot with the squirrel. But don't blame just Kippy. Squirrelly makes no attempts to run, either. They are both hopeless examples of their species!
I told you she was a loser...... Mind you that these two are not best friends. They merely tolerate each other in the most cordial way a cat and squirrel can. They do occasionally bicker, but it is all in good fun. The squirrel will try to bite the cat's tail when she is walking by the chair the squirrel is sitting on, or if Kippy is the one in the chair and the squirrel is trying to play on the chair, Kippy will bat her paw at her. The squirrel also goes for Kippy's ears if she is eating a nut and the cat comes too close. Empty threats.
