But, Daisy, you and I were friends even before that. Sure, some falsified history was involved, but it didn't change that we were friends.

Well... I would like to hope it didn't.

But... I think I understand what you mean. Suddenly, you had friends and family that existed for years, and then it was taken away in an instant. I think that's even more of a shock than you coming into a world of monsters and magic.
