PHYSICAL APPEARANCE;; A very lovely young lady with long, braided hair in a long ponytail. It is tied with a trademark pink ribbon that Zack purchased for her. She swore never to take it off. Aerith has very soft and feminine features, including her pretty green eyes and a warming smile that tends to bring out the best in people. She stands about 5’3”.

ABILITIES;; She has an ability to speak with the planet, understand its needs due to her Ancient heritage. She also is the only known possessor of the Holy material, which can defend against Meteor. Other than that, she tends to lean on the white magic side of things, though a whack to the head with that staff would hurt. Healing will be her strong suit.
I talked with Nemo about this ability and was told that she would be able to hear within in the city, but not outside of it. <3

PERSONALITY;; Aerith is one of the most positive and upbeat people in the group Cloud leads. She attempts to constantly cheer up her fellow teammates. She is generally very happy, and happiest when she is with the people she cares about. She tends to be dependent on people, yet at the same time, very independent in the sense that once she makes up her mind, she will do something. She upholds the idea that she can take care of business herself. Aerith, being of big heart, goes out of her way to help sometimes.
She is generally very sweet and pretty charismatic, making friends quickly. Afterall, she somehow got close to Cloud-one of the most anti-social bastards to walk the planet! She seems pretty content to stay around and care for her flowers though. She treasures them, and knows it is due to her Cetra blood that they bloomed. Aerith is a very dedicated woman, as proven by the four years of waiting and 89 some odd letters she sent to Zack. She will stick to her cause until she sees it to what she sees as completion.
At this point in her canon, Aerith has not embraced her Cetrian roots, and considers herself alone, being the last of her kind. She also has a fear of the sky, though, with Zack’s help, she has been overcoming it, enthusiastic to spread flowers all over Midgar.
Another mentionable trait of the flower girl is how perceptive she can be. She can tell when people or even animals are down. Paired with her persistence and boldness, she will call this out and attempt to cheer the person up. She seems to become much more brave after Zack’s last dispatched mission as she ventures onto the upper plate to sell flowers.
Aerith seems to be a little bit of a tease, never having given a straight answer as to whether she and Zack ever went out on a date, though, by all context, it looks like it. She has a distinct like of the man for his excitableness, and slight weirdness. She tends to avoid fighting as much as possible.
HISTORY;; On February 7th, 1985, Aerith was born to Ifalna, the last full-blooded Cetra to live in Gaia. Her father remained largely unknown to her, however, it was revealed that Professor Gast Faremis was her father, making her only half-cetra. Still, Aerith has the trademark Cetra abilities such as hearing the earth speak and exceptional healing. A baby Aerith and her Mother were captured by Shinra and held captive there for seven years before Ifalna managed to escape with the girl, but was mortally wounded and died on the platform to Sector 7.
Her dying wish was for a passing woman, Elmyra Gainsborough, to care for her daughter. Aerith, from this point forward, was raised in the slums by Elmyra. Growing up, Aerith was able to cultivate a decent sized flower patch, which she is very protective over, in an abandoned church in the slums of Sector 5. This is due to her Cetra heritage. She has an ability to speak with the planet, listen to its needs, and furthermore, nearly command the planet to her will. Where I am pulling her from, she is aware of this ability, but chooses to hide it and keep it a secret.
At fifteen, Aerith meets her first boyfriend, Zack Fair, who becomes a major part of her life when he falls through the church ceiling. She and Zack go out on a “date” as repayment for saving him, and he ends up purchasing Aerith’s trademark pink hair ribbon. Aerith also admits at this point in the game that those in SOLDIER scare her because of their bloodlust for fighting. After she learns that Zack is in SOLDIER, she says that he isn’t so scary, and even admits her fear of the open sky might be silly after all.
Aerith and Zack continue to see each other over the next two years. She, under the influence of Zack, sells her beautiful flowers around Midgar’s slums, with the intent to make the city beautiful again. Their relationship has a childlike charm to it, but also a more serious side. When Zack comes to the church after Angeal’s death, Aerith hold him as he cries in a very sweet moment.
When the flowers don’t sell well, Aerith teases that she has twenty-three little wishes of Zack and writes them down for him. In reality, she writes down that she wants to spend more time with him. This event coincides with the day he leaves for Nibelheim and a few days before Sephiroth loses his mind, in which Zack is put into a mako-infused coma, so to speak. In the four years that follow, Aerith sends eighty-nine letters to Zack, though he doesn’t receive any but the last one, Aerith conquers her fears and ventures above the plates to sell flowers.
Aerith claims she does not know what happened to Zack later, but after being gunned down by an unlimited supply of Shinra troops, Aerith pauses and looks up at the sky as if realizing her love’s fate. My theory is that her Cetrian roots felt Zack enter the lifestream.

She awoke with a start, glancing around her new surroundings. Confusion swarmed the poor girl as she sat up, taking a very deep breath. What had happened? Last the woman remembered, she had been in the church... Picking her flowers for the day's sale.
Now she was here... in this very strange place. It concerned her.
"Where am I...? This isn't what I remember..."
She'd given Tsung that letter last thing she remembered. And he gave her such a look. Like it was a lost cause. But she didn't give up. She never gave up on him coming home.
Standing, the girl began wandering the area, glancing around, more and more confused. This wasn't Midgar. It was... beautiful... The air was much cleaner, it was brighter...
"Oh, Aerith... What did you get yourself into now...?"
