I'm currently working on my english paper; a policy claim on the opinion of one, Ms. Ann Coulter and the hbo show 'Sex in the City.' Because I am self concious about my work for this class, I am going to post the opening paragraph. Any and all crit, hatetred, or random blurbs on this piece are welcome. I'll do a proper post tonight. Promise.
“Are we simply romantically challenged, or are we sluts()?” This sardonic statement was one of the many blunt truths shared by Carrie Bradshaw, the leading lady of HBO’s hit show Sex in the City. Ann Coulter would agree with the latter, though not in those exact words. She masks her opinion with the use of authority instead of evidence, hasty generalizations, non-sequitur, and ad hominem that would normally go unnoticed by a reader. These fallacies, outlined by Nancy Woods and Ann McClintock give the impression that Coulter’s opinions on the show are just as false as she claims Ms. Bradshaw’s life to be.
